Dr. Arthur J. Hilliker — York University, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Dr. Hilliker is Professor of Biology at York University. His research interests include chromosome structure and its relationship to gene expression, genetic analysis of reactive oxygen defence and its relationship to aging, behavioural genetics, and meiotic recombination. His primary research organism is Drosophila.

Dr. G. Brian Golding — McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario

Dr. Golding is a CRC Professor at McMaster University. His research interests are in the area of bioinformatics, molecular evolution and DNA sequence analysis. Research in his group includes studies of lateral gene transfer among bacteria, patterns of the coalescent within and among subpopulations, and the evolution of "simple" repetitive sequence in proteins.
