W. Henry Lear
W. Henry Lear

Henry Lear was born in Port-de-Grave, Newfoundland. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Memorial University of Newfoundland. He has been a fisheries scientist for over 25 years and has authored and co-authored more than 90 articles on the biology and population dynamics of various fish species, particularly Atlantic cod, Atlantic salmon and Greenland halibut.
